Quality Assurance Technologist

About the role

The Quality Assurance Technologist ensures that all operational requirements meet product and packaging quality standards set by CCBA and The Coca‑Cola Company while complying with local regulatory requirements. This role leads the implementation of quality control at source, maintains the quality management system, and supports continuous improvement across the plant.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and monitor quality (control) at source and develop the QA function at plant level.
• Maintain the quality system to meet CCBA and TCCC standards, including GMP and GLP compliance.
• Review SPC data, extend knowledge to production lines, and oversee non‑conformance programs.
• Ensure sanitation matrix adherence, review QC data daily, and drive corrective actions for data integrity issues.
• Document and report packaging and ingredient quality problems, coordinate corrective actions with suppliers.
• Lead laboratory operations, manage equipment and consumables, and oversee specialised testing such as microbiology.
• Run sensory evaluation and pest‑control programmes, and conduct regular quality surveys.
• Drive problem‑solving initiatives, root‑cause analysis, and continuous improvement projects.

Required profile

• BSc degree in Food Technology, Chemistry or General Sciences.
• Minimum three years’ experience in a SHEQ role within the food or beverage industry.
• Experience in the FMCG beverage sector is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and auditing abilities with a focus on compliance.
