Regional Sales Manager – Northern Region

About the role

The Regional Sales Manager – Northern will partner with the Head of Sales & Marketing to shape and execute the annual commercial strategy for the northern region. This senior role drives sales, marketing and service delivery initiatives, ensuring alignment with company objectives and market dynamics.

Key responsibilities

• Provide inputs, insights and assumptions for the Annual Commercial Strategy.
• Implement short‑term strategic actions and tactical interventions at regional and customer levels.
• Supervise Sales Officers, ensuring compliance with SOPs in sales and service delivery.
• Manage key distributor and retailer relationships, addressing both strategic and operational issues.
• Lead market development agenda to achieve volume and revenue growth.
• Performance‑manage sales targets, customer management and value alignment, including the Export Sales Officer.
• Instill a price‑monitoring culture and ensure reliable market price data.
• Oversee brand management through the Senior Marketing Officer.
• Develop and execute Route‑to‑Market (RTM) plans, identifying and closing skill gaps.
• Maintain company assets and undertake any additional tasks assigned by the Head of Sales & Marketing.

Required profile

• Degree in Marketing or Social Sciences; MBA is an advantage.
• 10‑15 years hands‑on experience in Sales & Marketing within manufacturing, commodities or FMCG.
• Five years’ experience in the cement industry is a plus.
• Strong understanding of market dynamics and key account management.
• Proven senior‑level management experience.
