Retail Support

About the role

The Retail Support role acts as the bridge between the back‑office and front‑line staff in a banking environment. The position ensures smooth workflow, minimizes desk movements for front‑line staff, and helps maintain high service quality for customers.

Key responsibilities

• Process transactions, verify signatures, and follow due‑diligence procedures such as FTOS.
• Perform remote FOS authorisations for cashier transactions and manage rotation numbers for inter‑departmental items.
• Conduct cash‑vault management, cash sorting, and CIT repatriation while supervising cashiers and performing surprise cash checks.
• Maintain control copies, track turnaround times, and escalate unresolved issues to the Branch Manager or BOM.
• Handle account opening mandates, load loan applications onto Sybrin, and perform snap checks as assigned.
• Respond to telephone inquiries and act as the primary contact between retail and operations.

Required profile

• Attention to detail and ability to follow strict procedural guidelines.
• Strong organisational skills to manage multiple queues and documentation.
• Customer‑focused mindset with a commitment to Treating Customers Fairly (TCF).

Required skills

• Experience with the Sybrin banking platform.
• Familiarity with FTOS and FOS remote authorisation processes.
• Knowledge of cash‑handling and CIT procedures.
