Senior HR Officer

About the role

Epiroc is seeking a Senior HR Officer to act as a strategic partner to line management at its Chingola site. The role will drive workforce effectiveness through talent management, employee relations, performance optimization, compliance, and organizational development.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic HR guidance on workforce planning, employee relations, performance, and talent decisions.
• Lead onboarding, employee lifecycle management, and disciplinary/grievance processes.
• Drive performance management, including goal setting, reviews, and improvement initiatives.
• Support talent management and succession planning, identifying capability gaps and coordinating development.
• Ensure compliance with Zambian labour laws, internal policies, and audit requirements.
• Review payroll inputs and act as escalation point for complex payroll issues.
• Maintain HR data integrity, reporting, and analytics for business decisions.
• Champion employee engagement, culture, and inclusion initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
• 6‑8 years of progressive HR generalist experience.
• Strong experience handling complex employee relations cases.
• In‑depth knowledge of Zambian labour laws and HR best practices.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills.
• High integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
• Strong organizational and time‑management abilities.
• Experience in mining or industrial environments is a plus.
