Social Media Content Creator

About the role

A company based in Lusaka, Zambia is looking for a Social Media Content Creator to develop and execute engaging social media content aligned with its brand, marketing strategy and business objectives. The role covers creating photos, videos, graphics, Reels and Stories, managing the company's social channels and producing weekly and monthly content calendars.

Key responsibilities

• Create high-quality photos, videos, graphics, Reels, Stories, captions and other digital content.
• Manage and maintain the company's social media platforms and schedule content consistently.
• Research trends, hashtags and emerging content formats; write captions, headlines and promotional copy.
• Film, edit and publish short-form video content for TikTok, Instagram Reels and Facebook, and coordinate shoots where needed.
• Ensure all content follows brand guidelines and respond professionally to comments, messages and enquiries.
• Monitor analytics, prepare regular reports on reach, engagement and audience growth, and use insights to improve content and campaigns.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Design and other teams and support digital campaigns, product launches and events.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Marketing, Media, Journalism, Communications or a related field.
• Proven experience in social media content creation, digital marketing or a related role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, strong copywriting and storytelling skills.
• Good understanding of major social media platforms and their audiences, and knowledge of social media analytics.
• Strong attention to detail, organisation and time management, able to work independently and in a team.
