Space Applications Expert, Satellite Navigation & Connectivity

About the role

We are seeking a highly qualified Non-Key Expert – Space Applications Expert, Satellite Navigation & Connectivity to support activities related to satellite navigation, GNSS, augmentation systems, satellite connectivity and the development and uptake of space‑based applications across Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Support the “Support to the Africa‑EU Space Partnership Programme – AESPP Boost” project activities.
• Provide expertise on satellite navigation, GNSS, SBAS, aviation, maritime and satellite broadband applications.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in engineering, telecommunications, aeronautics, geomatics or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in satellite navigation, telecommunications or satellite connectivity.
• At least 4 years of experience with satellite‑navigation or connectivity applications.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Galileo, EGNOS, IRIS² and relevant African navigation and augmentation initiatives.
• Excellent command of English; French and/or Portuguese considered an asset.
