Superintendent - Compensation & Benefits

About the role

The Superintendent – Compensation & Benefits will lead the design, implementation and administration of compensation, benefits and HR information systems for the Lumwana mining site. Reporting to the Assistant Human Resources Manager, you will ensure that remuneration programmes align with corporate policies and local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage site‑wide compensation and benefits programmes, ensuring compliance with company frameworks.
• Provide strategic advice on salary positioning, incentives and employee benefits.
• Maintain and review salary structures, conduct market benchmarking and analyse remuneration trends.
• Oversee job evaluation, grading and the annual compensation review cycle, including salary increases, short‑term and long‑term incentive eligibility.
• Administer long‑term incentive plans, production bonus arrangements and related tax considerations.
• Maintain the HRIS, guaranteeing accurate and timely employee and organisational data.
• Lead, coach and develop the Compensation, Benefits and HRIS team.

Required profile

• Full Grade 12 certificate and a minimum degree in Human Resources or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• At least eight years of HR experience, with three years in a leadership role focused on compensation and benefits.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication skills and numerical aptitude.
• Knowledge of Zambian labour laws and membership in the Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management.
• Zambian citizenship.
