Transmission Network Product Manager

About the role

Huawei Technologies Zambia is seeking a Transmission Network Product Manager to lead market positioning and drive sales of DWDM/IP solutions across Southern‑Africa. The role combines strategic market development, customer engagement, and end‑to‑end project execution to expand the company’s transmission portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Lead market positioning of DWDM/IP solutions in multi‑country Southern‑Africa and develop sales strategies.
• Provide market insights, competitive analysis and identify growth opportunities.
• Engage telecom operators technically and commercially, present value propositions and tailor solutions.
• Drive bid strategy, support contract negotiations and develop business cases for transmission projects.
• Collaborate with solution architects, sales teams and channel partners to deliver technical and commercial guidance.
• Lead workshops, presentations and training sessions for customers and internal teams.
• Oversee end‑to‑end project execution, ensuring seamless deployment and monitoring performance metrics.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, IT or related field.
• Relevant certifications in DWDM/IP, OTN, SDN and telecom solutions.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in transmission network solutions and sales, with proven work with telecom operators or system integrators.
• Strong consulting, advisory and commercial negotiation skills, with a track record of winning telecom contracts.
