Vegetable Promoter (Lusaka)

About the role

Syngenta Seeds is looking for an enthusiastic Vegetable Promoter to represent the company in Lusaka. You will act as the primary link between Syngenta, farmers, retailers and distributors, promoting our vegetable seed varieties and encouraging trial and adoption.

Key responsibilities

• Create on‑farm demonstrations to showcase the performance of Syngenta vegetable varieties.
• Deliver technical training and information to farmers in your region.
• Organise and execute field days, product launches and stakeholder training events.
• Maintain regular contact with retailers and distributors, monitoring stock levels and ensuring product availability.
• Follow up on retailer debts on behalf of distributors, without collecting funds.
• Introduce new products to channel players through demos and technical sessions.

Required profile

• Agricultural diploma or higher.
• Minimum one year of sales experience, preferably in the seed or agronomy sector.
• Paid‑up member of the Zambia Institute of Agriculture and ZAQA certified.
• Valid motorbike licence and ability to drive a manual‑shift vehicle.
• Strong knowledge of the vegetable seed market and customer needs.

Required skills

• Demo creation and field demonstration execution.
• Technical training on agronomy and crop protection.
• Geographical, environmental and climatic knowledge relevant to vegetable production.
