Vegetable Promoter – Field Sales & Demo Specialist

About the role

Syngenta Seeds is looking for an enthusiastic Vegetable Promoter to act as the company’s field representative in Zambia. You will build relationships with farmers, retailers and distributors, showcase the performance of Syngenta vegetable varieties and drive product adoption across your region.

Key responsibilities

• Create on‑farm demonstrations that provide visible evidence of Syngenta varieties’ performance.
• Deliver technical training and information to farmers, retailers and distributors.
• Organise and execute field days, product launches and stakeholder training events.
• Maintain regular contact with channel players (YPRs, retailers, distributors) to increase product knowledge and utilization.
• Introduce new products through demos and technical training.
• Visit retailer and distributor outlets weekly to monitor stock levels.
• Follow up on outstanding debts with retailers on behalf of distributors (no collection authority).
• Track product movement and sales at retailer and distributor premises.

Required profile

• Agricultural diploma or higher.
• Paid‑up member of the Zambia Institute of Agriculture and ZAQA‑certified.
• Minimum 1 year of sales experience (sales background is an advantage).
• Technical experience in demo creation, agronomy and crop‑protection training, and strong geographical, environmental and climatic knowledge.
• Valid motorbike licence and ability to drive a manual‑shift vehicle.
• Good knowledge of the vegetable seed market and customer needs.
