Chief Financial Officer

About the role

The Chief Financial Officer will lead the country Finance, Treasury, Sustainability and Strategy function, acting as the primary finance business partner to the Managing Director. This senior executive role is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely reporting, compliance with IFRS and local regulations, and driving strategic financial performance across the bank.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership to Finance, Treasury, Sustainability and Strategy teams and strengthen end‑to‑end reporting between the country and regional centre.
• Serve as senior advisor to the Managing Director on all finance‑related matters.
• Ensure statutory financial reporting complies with IFRS and local regulations.
• Lead competitor and external data assessments to support business‑strategy formulation.
• Develop and maintain the enterprise Management Information (MI) function to improve decision‑making.
• Drive financial performance through accurate reporting, KPI tracking and resource allocation.
• Offer expert guidance on capital optimisation across short‑, medium‑ and long‑term horizons.
• Oversee risk management, including tax risk, and liaise with regulators, auditors and other stakeholders.

Required profile

• Extensive senior finance leadership experience, preferably within banking or financial services.
• Proven ability to act as a finance business partner to senior executives.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and local statutory reporting requirements.
• Demonstrated experience in strategy development, KPI management and performance monitoring.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills across regulators, auditors and industry bodies.
• Track record of leading finance, treasury, sustainability and risk functions.
