Chief Operating Officer (COO) – Rotation between Zambia & South Africa

About the role

Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join the leadership team in Ndola, Zambia. The role combines technical and managerial expertise within the construction, electrical or solar sectors and operates on a rotation basis between Zambia and South Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate department heads including HR, Operations, Procurement, Imports and others.
• Develop and implement strategic plans to drive efficiency, growth and profitability.
• Streamline processes, monitor performance and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Mentor and empower department leaders to achieve organisational goals.
• Collaborate with senior executives, partners and external stakeholders to advance business success.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering or Management.
• 4‑6 years of management experience with a proven track record in construction, electrical or solar industries.
• Strong leadership, organisational, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, multi‑departmental environment.

What we offer

• Salary between R140 000 and R185 000 per month.
• Housing, company car and flights between Zambia and South Africa.
