Civil Site Supervisor – Overhead Line Works

About the role

Zutari is seeking an experienced Civil Site Supervisor to lead overhead line construction activities across its African projects. The role involves supervising daily site works, ensuring safety and quality standards, and delivering progress in line with project schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily overhead line construction works on site.
• Monitor progress on foundations, structure erection, and completion activities.
• Ensure contractor compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and construction procedures.
• Identify risks, delays, or non‑conformances and take corrective action.
• Oversee excavation, concrete works, backfilling, compaction, support structure assembly, and erection.
• Uphold health and safety compliance for personnel, plant, and lifting activities.
• Maintain daily site records and contribute to weekly progress reports.
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve site issues.
• Verify quantities, site records, and completed works for reporting and certification.
• Support inspections, testing, commissioning preparation, and handover activities.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience supervising civil works on overhead or transmission line projects.
• Strong understanding of line construction activities, quality control, and site safety requirements.
• Excellent reporting, communication, and coordination abilities.
