Commercial Manager – Business Development (Mining, Africa)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Commercial Manager – Business Development to drive growth across the mining sector in Africa. The role will focus on identifying new opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and managing client relationships to increase revenue from mining projects and related services.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute business development strategies to expand market presence in Africa’s mining industry.
• Identify and pursue commercial opportunities with mining companies, EPC contractors, and other key stakeholders.
• Maintain a robust pipeline from exploration to operational mining projects.
• Lead negotiations, pricing strategies, risk assessments, and commercial agreements.
• Collaborate with technical, operational, and project teams to deliver commercially viable solutions.
• Provide market intelligence, track competitor activity, and support long‑term growth planning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Mining, Commerce or a related field.
• Minimum 10 + years of commercial and business development experience in mining, resources, EPC or industrial sectors.
• Proven track record of securing contracts and developing new business in Africa.
• Strong understanding of African mining markets, commodities and key industry stakeholders.
