Construction Site Manager – Zengamina Upgrade Project

About the role

The Construction Site Manager will lead the on‑site execution of the Zengamina Upgrade Project, which adds a 700 kW hydro‑turbine and a 1.2 MWac solar PV plant to an existing hydropower facility in Zambia. Reporting to the employer’s off‑site team and working closely with the Engineering Services Consultant, the manager ensures the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to high quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, monitor, and control the construction schedule and budget.
• Coordinate activities of multiple contractors and ensure compliance with design specifications.
• Implement contract provisions and oversee contract administration.
• Lead design review meetings and enforce QC/QA procedures.
• Promote a strong safety culture and enforce the Environmental, Health and Safety Management Plan.
• Monitor construction progress and report to the employer’s off‑site team.

Required profile

• Hands‑on, site‑based professional with experience managing construction projects in the energy sector.
• Proven ability to work with contractors, consultants, and off‑site teams.
• Strong understanding of contract administration, quality control, and safety management.
