Consumer Finance Loan Officer

About the role

AB Bank is seeking a motivated Consumer Finance Loan Officer to build and maintain strong client relationships while delivering banking services in line with the institution’s policies. The role involves a blend of field work and office tasks, requiring a proactive approach to customer acquisition and loan management.

Key responsibilities

• Market bank products to individuals and businesses.
• Serve as the primary liaison for key customers and drive new customer acquisition.
• Prepare and evaluate loan documentation.
• Monitor client repayments and follow up on delinquent accounts.
• Maintain compliance with bank policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Diploma in any business‑related field.
• Minimum two years’ experience in consumer lending.
• Strong oral and written communication skills in English and at least one local language.
• Willingness to work in the field for approximately 60% of the time.
• Certified copies of academic qualifications as required by the Zambia Qualifications Authority.
