Country Manager – Zambia

About the role

We are seeking a highly experienced Country Manager to lead multi‑business operations in Zambia, overseeing mining, logistics, fuel supply and procurement activities. The role reports to senior leadership and is responsible for strategic direction, financial performance and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the consolidated P&L, budgeting, reporting and audits to ensure strong financial governance.
• Ensure full compliance with statutory, tax and regulatory requirements, maintaining a zero‑penalty environment.
• Identify new business opportunities, build strategic partnerships and expand services across mining, logistics, fuel supply and procurement.
• Lead recruitment, performance management and employee relations across all business units.
• Uphold health, safety and environment standards, fostering a zero‑harm culture.
• Oversee fuel sourcing, quality control, stock management and supply‑chain efficiency.
• Direct capital projects, including procurement, installation and commissioning of operational assets.
• Manage logistics and cargo handling operations, ensuring efficient truck staging, turnaround times and cost control.
• Represent the company in Zambia, managing client and regulatory relationships and driving growth initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or related field.
• Professional qualification such as CA(SA), ACCA or CIMA is advantageous.
• 8–10 years of management experience, including senior leadership at country or GM level.
• Minimum five years of proven experience in mining environments.
• Strong background in logistics and supply‑chain management.
• Experience working in cross‑cultural or expatriate settings, preferably in Zambia or Sub‑Saharan Africa.
