Crusher Operator

About the role

First Quantum is seeking a dedicated Crusher Operator to safely run and monitor crushing plant equipment. The role ensures continuous production of high‑quality aggregate while adhering to strict safety, environmental, and operational standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate primary, secondary, and tertiary crushing equipment following SOPs.
• Monitor crusher performance, conveyor systems, and related plant equipment.
• Maintain consistent feed to optimise throughput and minimise downtime.
• Perform pre‑start inspections, routine checks, and basic maintenance.
• Identify, report, and assist in troubleshooting mechanical and operational faults.
• Control product quality by monitoring material gradation and adjusting settings.
• Complete log sheets, reports, and shift handover documentation accurately.
• Communicate plant performance to supervisors and maintenance teams.
• Participate in continuous improvement and safety initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 2–3 years experience in crushing plant or similar industrial environment.
• Experience in mining or aggregate processing is advantageous.
• Physical fitness for demanding industrial settings.
• Strong safety‑conscious mindset and ability to work shifts.
• Problem‑solving and decision‑making capability.
