Electrical Artisan

About the role

We are looking for an Electrical Artisan to join our production team in a fast‑moving FMCG environment. You will apply specialised artisan skills to maintain, repair and optimise plant equipment while supporting safe and efficient operations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment and comply with health, safety and environmental legislation.
• Repair and maintain plant equipment, locate spares and relevant documentation, and plan and execute jobs.
• Continuously improve plant processes, equipment performance and system reliability.
• Work effectively in teams, communicate clearly and contribute to team development.
• Apply structured problem‑solving tools (5 Why, Fishbone diagram, Pareto chart, FMEA) to identify and eliminate root causes.
• Drive optimisation of productivity, quality, delivery, cost and safety while managing spending.

Required profile

• Self‑management and people‑handling abilities.
• Strong analytical, conceptual and problem‑solving skills.
• Subject‑matter expertise in mechanical and electrical maintenance.
• Experience with continuous improvement and VPO principles.

Required skills

• Mechanical maintenance of production equipment.
• Electrical maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Root‑cause analysis techniques (5 Why, Fishbone diagram, Pareto chart, Failure Mode and Effect Analysis).
