Engineering Surveyor – Road Construction

About the role

The Engineering Surveyor will provide technical surveying support for all Lot 1 works on a major road construction programme in Kasempa District, Zambia. The role ensures precise setting‑out, control transfer, volume measurement and compliance with construction tolerances, working from a site camp on a fixed‑term contract until December 2029.

Key responsibilities

• Set out road alignment, culverts, structures, toll plaza and weighbridge platforms.
• Maintain secondary control networks and perform layer‑level conformance surveys.
• Conduct volume surveys for records and measurement.
• Capture as‑built data and produce daily reports for foremen.
• Provide on‑site setting‑out support to construction teams.

Required profile

• BSc in Geomatics, Land Surveying, Engineering Surveying or equivalent (TEVETA Diploma with 15 years experience acceptable).
• Minimum 10 years engineering survey experience on road construction projects.
• Professional registration with the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ).
• Valid manual driver’s licence and pre‑employment medical fitness.
