Field Support Specialist (Freelance / Dispatch)

About the role

We are seeking a reliable freelance Field Support Specialist to deliver on‑site IT assistance when full‑time engineers are unavailable or when dispatch activities require immediate attention. This role involves hands‑on support for desktops, laptops, peripherals, and meeting‑room technology across multiple locations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide on‑site support for desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripheral devices.
• Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software according to company standards.
• Perform IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change) tasks for IT assets.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, including break‑fix and compliance/security software.
• Coordinate repairs, replacements, and escalations with OEMs and vendors.
• Maintain IT inventory, asset tracking, and documentation.
• Create system images for laptops and desktops.
• Support Office 365 issues, user account problems, and VIP/end‑user requests.
• Assist with conference‑room AV setup and network printer installations.
• Adhere to Service Level Agreements and document incidents in the knowledge base.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience with desktop and laptop troubleshooting.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple on‑site assignments.
• Good communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
• Experience handling after‑hours support for events or recurring meetings.
