Field Support Specialist (Freelance / Dispatch)

About the role

We are seeking a reliable Freelance Field Support Specialist to deliver on‑site IT assistance when full‑time engineers are unavailable or when dispatch activities require immediate attention. The role involves hands‑on support for desktops, laptops, peripherals, and meeting‑room technologies across multiple locations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide on‑site support for desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripheral devices.
• Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software according to company standards.
• Perform IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change) activities for IT assets.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, including break‑fix and compliance/security software.
• Coordinate repairs, replacements, and escalations with OEMs and vendors.
• Manage IT inventory, asset tracking, and documentation.
• Create system images for laptops and desktops.
• Support Office 365 issues, user account problems, and Mac devices.
• Set up and troubleshoot printers, network printers, and AV equipment in conference rooms.
• Deliver high‑touch VIP/end‑user support and adhere to SLA commitments.
• Document incidents, resolutions, and contribute to knowledge‑base articles.
• Participate in after‑hours activities, events, and recurring meetings as needed.
