Finance/Tax Consultant – Full‑time Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a full‑time accountant to join our finance team in Zambia. The successful candidate will act as a finance and tax consultant, ensuring compliance with both local accounting standards and International Accounting Standards (IAS/IFRS).

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in line with Zambian GAAP and IAS/IFRS.
• Manage and submit tax filings on a regular schedule, addressing any discrepancies promptly.
• Identify and correct accounting errors, ensuring the integrity of the company’s financial records.
• Reconcile differences between tax and accounting treatments.
• Collaborate with import‑export and multinational business units to support their specific reporting needs.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an accountant in import‑export trading companies or large multinational enterprises.
• Strong knowledge of Zambian local accounting regulations and IAS/IFRS.
• Detail‑oriented with the ability to work under tight deadlines.
