About the role
We are looking for an experienced General Foreman to lead earthworks operations on a major infrastructure project in Zambia. You will apply your decades of expertise to ensure safe, efficient, and specification‑compliant delivery of large‑scale works. The position follows a 2‑months‑on / 2‑weeks‑off rotation.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee all earthworks activities on site.
- Manage and coordinate on‑site teams to meet daily operational targets.
- Maintain quality standards and monitor progress against the project schedule.
- Liaise with senior management on project status and requirements.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and best practices.
- Monitor and report on resource utilisation and productivity.
Required profile
- Matric qualification (essential).
- Minimum 20 years’ experience on major infrastructure projects.
- Proven track record with large dams and/or tailings facilities.
- Demonstrated site leadership and team‑management capabilities.
- Expat experience and mining sector exposure (strongly preferred).
- Ability to work effectively in remote locations.
