Health and Nutrition Coordinator

About the role

The Health and Nutrition Coordinator will lead the design, implementation, and monitoring of high‑quality health and nutrition programmes in Zambia, aligning them with Action Against Hunger’s country and sector strategies. This role provides technical guidance to project teams and ensures compliance with donor and organisational standards.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse the humanitarian health and nutrition context in Zambia and translate findings into programme design.
• Lead the development of project proposals, fundraising documents, and procurement plans.
• Oversee the timely and quality implementation of ongoing programmes, including regular field visits.
• Provide strategic and technical advice to the country team and support capacity‑building for nutrition staff.
• Represent the health and nutrition sector internally and externally, liaising with government ministries, development partners, NGOs, and research institutions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in designing and managing health and nutrition programmes in humanitarian settings.
• Strong understanding of donor guidelines, monitoring and evaluation standards, and best practices in nutrition.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills.
