Health and Nutrition Officer

About the role
The Health and Nutrition Officer will support the implementation of nutrition and health interventions at the field level for Action Against Hunger. This role focuses on managing acute malnutrition, infant nutrition, integrated case management of childhood illnesses, and social behavior change communication.
Key responsibilities
- Implement and supervise acute malnutrition management, MIYCAN, MAMi, ICCM, and SBCC programs at health facilities and community sites.
- Build capacity of Village Health Teams, care‑group volunteers, health workers, and district partners.
- Coordinate with WASH and Food Security officers to ensure multi‑sectoral integration.
- Identify and verify programme participants, monitor activities, and produce timely reports.
- Serve as the primary interface between Action Against Hunger and local communities, troubleshooting field‑level issues.
