Key Account Manager – Retail (Sales)

About the role

The Key Account Manager – Retail will drive revenue growth, acquire new customers and manage existing retail accounts for cGrate. You will act as the primary liaison for retail chains, restaurants, OMCs, distributors and wholesalers, ensuring high‑quality service and strong relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow key retail accounts, maintaining satisfaction and retention.
• Identify and recruit new retail clients for cGrate’s suite of products and services.
• Promote and sell airtime, bill payments, merchant and online payments, bulk payments, cash deposits and withdrawals.
• Develop and execute sales strategies for the retail segment to meet revenue targets.
• Engage regularly with clients to understand needs and propose tailored solutions.
• Coordinate with Operations, IT and Customer Experience teams to resolve queries promptly.
• Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals and performance reports.
• Conduct market analysis to spot new opportunities and trends.
• Collaborate with the Head – Corporate Sales to align objectives with company strategy.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of post‑qualification sales experience.
• At least 2 years in digital financial services or payments industry.
• Strong negotiation, presentation and analytical abilities.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Proven track record managing large retail accounts and achieving sales targets.
• Successful completion of the cGrate Sales Aptitude Test.
• Leadership qualities, self‑driven, high integrity and clean criminal/employment record.
