About the role
The Process Artisan operates the maltings production area, performs non‑destructive quality checks and carries out routine maintenance. The role focuses on asset care and ensuring process performance meets targets.
Key responsibilities
- Operate the process area according to work instructions and standards, record waste and monitor trends.
- Perform quality checks, document results and address any deviations.
- Execute cleaning, lubrication and inspection of equipment following maintenance schedules.
- Participate in maintenance days, post‑mortems and escalation of unresolved issues.
Required profile
- Strong communication skills, active participation in shift meetings and use of gap lists.
- Effective problem‑solving using techniques such as 5 Why and quick‑fix routines.
- Commitment to continuous improvement through trend analysis and waste reduction.
Required skills
- Knowledge of electrical, instrumentation and mechanical systems.
- Experience with process control and non‑destructive quality testing.
- Routine maintenance skills, including cleaning, lubrication and equipment inspection.
