Marketing Personnel

About the role

A full-time Marketing Personnel position in Lusaka, Zambia, focused on identifying and pursuing new business opportunities and potential clients, generating leads and converting enquiries into sales.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities and potential clients, generate leads and follow up on enquiries to convert them into sales.
• Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with existing and prospective clients, and follow up on enquiries, sales opportunities and pending business.
• Assist with marketing, promotional and business development activities.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales records, customer information and reports.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery of products and services.
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify new opportunities and market trends.
• Attend client meetings, site visits and business development activities as required, and work consistently towards assigned sales and business development targets.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Public Relations, Sales or a related field.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience in sales, marketing, customer service, business development or a related role.
• Valid driver's license, preferably with 5 years of driving experience.
• Member of the Zambia Institute of Marketing (ZIM).

• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Good organizational, negotiation and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently with minimal supervision and to meet targets and deadlines under pressure.
