Pre-Sales Technical Lead

About the role

The Pre-Sales Technical Lead bridges MBS Zambia’s software development capabilities with client business needs. Acting as the technical authority in client meetings, you will translate complex solutions into clear business value and win tenders.

Key responsibilities

• Join sales meetings to present technical solutions and articulate business benefits to C‑level executives.
• Lead the response to RFPs and government or corporate tenders, drafting technical proposals and project scopes.
• Conduct discovery workshops to gather requirements and map client processes.
• Collaborate with the development team to estimate timelines, resources, and pricing; create high‑level architecture diagrams and proof‑of‑concept pitches.
• Build strategic relationships with technical stakeholders (CTOs, IT managers) to position MBS Zambia for future digital transformation projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or related field with at least 2 years experience, or a technical diploma with at least 4 years experience.
• Background in the tech industry, preferably transitioning from a developer or engineer role to a client‑facing position.
• Familiarity with Zambian corporate and public‑sector procurement processes or strong willingness to learn.
• Solid understanding of modern software development lifecycles, cloud infrastructure and enterprise architecture.
