Project Coordinator – Field & Logistics (Zambia)

About the role
The Emergency Warning System (EWS) Installation Project spans the Zambezi River from Kariba Dam to Luangwa. We are looking for two Zambian nationals to support day‑to‑day project execution, ensuring smooth coordination of field activities, logistics, customs clearance and community engagement.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate daily project tasks with the international project team.
- Liaise with local government, district administrations, Zambezi River Authority and other regulatory bodies.
- Obtain permits, access permissions and local approvals for field work.
- Arrange transportation, vehicle hiring, driver scheduling and accommodation for staff.
- Manage movement of equipment between sites, including lifting gear, boats and cranes.
- Facilitate customs clearance, track shipments and ensure timely delivery of imported equipment.
- Engage village leaders and communities to secure site access and resolve local issues.
- Support site readiness, assist engineering teams during installation and commissioning.
- Maintain project records, prepare progress reports and track inventory.
Required profile
- Zambian national with proven experience in project coordination or logistics.
- Strong ability to work with government agencies, customs officials and community representatives.
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively along the Zambezi River.
