Project Manager – Economic Strengthening Initiative

About the role

ChildFund is seeking a Project Manager to lead a high‑impact economic strengthening initiative focused on marginalized groups, especially women, in Zambia. The role will drive inclusive growth by addressing barriers to finance, markets, and skills development.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic guidance and technical leadership for the EU‑supported economic strengthening project.
• Plan, implement, and monitor project activities to ensure timely and high‑quality deliverables.
• Coordinate with technical staff, partners, and key stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
• Ensure compliance with donor requirements, maintain thorough documentation, and produce regular reports.
• Promote sustainability of entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and livelihood outcomes for vulnerable populations.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing development projects, preferably with a focus on economic empowerment.
• Strong ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and engage external partners.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.
• Commitment to ChildFund’s values and zero‑tolerance policy on SEAH.
