Project Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Project Manager to lead infrastructure and commodity trading projects for Big Five Investments Limited in Lusaka. The role involves end‑to‑end planning, execution and delivery, ensuring projects meet time, scope and budget targets while satisfying client expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Define project objectives, develop detailed plans and schedules.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams, allocate resources and monitor progress.
• Track milestones, prepare status reports and communicate updates to stakeholders.
• Supervise expediting and logistics activities, including procurement, transportation and warehousing.
• Conduct inspections to verify quality, compliance and adherence to technical specifications.
• Identify, assess and mitigate risks and issues, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure projects comply with quality and regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, project management or a related field.
• Proven experience managing infrastructure or commodity‑related projects.
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Professional project‑management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is an advantage.
