School Superintendent

About the role

The School Superintendent will provide strategic leadership for Arise Africa’s network of schools in Lusaka. Reporting to senior organizational leadership, the role ensures high‑quality education that aligns with the organization’s Christian mission and national standards. This is a full‑time, on‑site position focused on improving learning outcomes and fostering an inclusive school environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise school principals and administrative teams across all Arise schools.
• Guide curriculum implementation and promote instructional excellence through coaching and professional development.
• Oversee budgeting, resource allocation, and financial reporting for each school.
• Monitor academic performance data and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with Zambian education regulations and child‑protection policies.
• Collaborate with organizational leadership to create safe, values‑based learning environments.

Required profile

• Proven experience in educational leadership, preferably managing schools or large education programs.
• Track record in curriculum development and education reform.
• Strong background in budgeting and resource management within an educational setting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Education; advanced degree in Education Leadership or Administration preferred.
• Excellent communication, conflict‑resolution, and multicultural team‑management skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding children and alignment with Arise Africa’s Christian values.
