Senior Manager, Right Fit Evidence

About the role

The Right‑Fit Evidence (RFE) Unit at IPA is looking for a Senior Manager to lead the strategic delivery of a multi‑country education scaling project funded by the FCDO. You will guide a small team of Advisors, manage complex stakeholder relationships, and contribute to RFE’s broader strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for implementers, funders and government agencies, overseeing multiple project teams to deliver tailored evidence, learning and M&E solutions.
• Lead design, content and delivery of the multi‑partner, multi‑country FCDO SCALE project, acting as the central project‑management function.
• Provide technical leadership for right‑fit Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) activities, ensuring research and data address evidence gaps for scaling decisions.
• Oversee MEL and research activities conducted through IPA country offices and external partners.
• Manage project finances, ensuring high‑quality outputs are delivered on time and within budget.
• Contribute to new‑business development, proposal coordination and external relationship management.
• Support RFE thought leadership, product development and internal management systems while supervising 2‑3 Advisors.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Education, Development Studies, Public Policy).
• Extensive experience managing large, multi‑country development projects, preferably in education scaling.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and engage senior stakeholders.
• Strong financial management and budgeting experience.
