English & School Education Project Officer

About the role

Support the successful delivery of English and School Education programmes by coordinating high‑quality project implementation, partner engagement, reporting, evaluation and programme operations. Ensure effective financial administration, compliance and data‑driven delivery while building strong relationships with partners to achieve meaningful educational outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage project timelines, data reporting, compliance, grants administration, procurement, events and training activities to ensure high‑quality implementation.
• Oversee financial aspects including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, vendor payments and adherence to financial policies and audit requirements.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, partners, vendors and suppliers, holding them accountable for service delivery.
• Promote an inclusive, equitable and anti‑racist culture by embedding the British Council’s EDI commitments into programme delivery.

Required profile

• Degree or proven experience in education, arts or English, with experience in supporting roles on programmes or contracts.
• Demonstrated experience in administrative and financial reporting, and a good understanding of monitoring and evaluation concepts.
• Ability to work independently, manage workload to meet deadlines and hold vendors accountable.
• Strong capability to work with external partners and stakeholders.
