Specialist Commercial – Procurement & Contracts

About the role

The Specialist Commercial will support Kansanshi Operations by developing and executing a business‑wide category strategy for the managed spend portfolio. Reporting to the Superintendent of Contracts, the role bridges operational sponsors and senior supply‑partner executives to solve complex supply challenges and drive value.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to design a whole‑of‑business category strategy aligned with long‑term operational needs.
• Conduct market research, spend analysis and risk modelling to identify supply‑market risks and mitigation actions.
• Lead end‑to‑end sourcing processes, including tender management, vendor negotiations and drafting of supply agreements.
• Drive supplier performance improvement and continuous innovation in procurement practices.
• Implement and promote automation tools such as Power BI dashboards and a Service Request platform to track workflow stages.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, quality, finance and HR policies.

Required profile

• Proven experience in commercial procurement or contracts within a large industrial setting.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate data into strategic actions.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing both internal and external senior leaders.
• Commitment to safety and adherence to corporate policies.
