Station Manager

About the role

The Station Manager will lead day‑to‑day operations of a retail fuel station, ensuring high standards of customer service, safety, and profitability. This position oversees staffing, merchandising, inventory, cash handling, and compliance with company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain smooth station operations to boost fuel sales and control costs.
• Use market research to set competitive prices and introduce new products.
• Decide on product mix and services to maximize revenue.
• Implement and manage the station’s credit policy and security protocols.
• Create and adjust employee schedules, ensuring full shift coverage.
• Develop and run customer loyalty and rewards programs.
• Manage the station as a profit centre, including marketing petroleum products.
• Prepare and submit daily sales reports.
• Monitor stock levels, oversee inventory storage, and minimize waste and pilferage.
• Coordinate equipment maintenance and repairs with vendors.
• Train and retrain station personnel.

Required profile

• University degree.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in a similar station‑manager role.
• Experience in East Africa is preferred.
