Transactional Banking Manager

About the role

The Transactional Banking Manager will lead cash‑management sales across a portfolio of business banking clients. You will drive adoption of liability, payments, collections, and digital channel solutions while building profitable relationships and protecting the bank from competitor activity.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve sales targets for cash‑management products such as Absa Access, Bank Direct and future offerings.
• Segment clients, set annual sales objectives with Relationship Managers and track progress quarterly.
• Develop and negotiate cash‑management facilities, prepare solution proposals and influence decision‑making criteria.
• Maintain accurate client cash maps, update the sales pipeline weekly and produce detailed call reports.
• Monitor implementation progress, provide post‑sale support and ensure client expectations are exceeded.
• Collaborate with other sales executives, product teams and attend industry seminars to promote cash solutions.
• Coach junior team members on cash‑product knowledge and sales techniques.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business banking or cash‑management sales.
• Strong relationship‑building and negotiation skills.
• Target‑driven mindset with ability to analyse client needs and propose tailored solutions.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Awareness of risk and governance requirements in banking transactions.
