About the role

Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) and its subsidiaries, including Eastern Tropical Fruit Company Limited and Industrial Resources Ltd, are expanding their operations in Katete, Zambia. They are seeking experienced professionals for a range of senior and technical positions across human resources, finance, field operations, technical support, business development, and general management.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement policies, procedures, and administrative processes aligned with corporate objectives.
• Manage financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and compliance for the subsidiaries.
• Oversee field activities, monitor production performance, and ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Provide technical expertise for equipment maintenance, process optimisation, and troubleshooting.
• Drive business development initiatives, identify new market opportunities, and support operational growth.
• Lead overall business operations, coordinate cross‑functional teams, and represent the company with stakeholders.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in the respective field.
• Proven track record in a senior or specialist role within agriculture, processing, or industrial environments.
• Strong analytical, organisational, and communication abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and manage multiple priorities.

Required skills

• Knowledge of HR administration, payroll, and employee relations (for HR role).
• Financial management, budgeting, and reporting skills (for finance role).
• Field supervision and data collection techniques (for field officer).
• Technical troubleshooting and equipment maintenance (for technical officer).
• Business development and market analysis capabilities (for operations & BD specialist).
