Vehicle Sales Consultant

About the role

Our client, a leading distributor of BMW, Mazda and Saurer vehicles in Zambia, is looking for a motivated Vehicle Sales Consultant to join the Car Sales Department. Reporting to the Head of After‑Sales, you will be responsible for achieving sales targets while delivering a professional, brand‑aligned customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Promote and sell new BYD and Mazda vehicles in line with OEM sales policies.
• Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate models, features and variants.
• Conduct product presentations, test drives and demonstrations following OEM guidelines.
• Explain pricing, financing, insurance, registration and exchange options.
• Educate customers on EV technology, charging solutions and ownership benefits for BYD models.
• Prepare accurate quotations, sales documents and order forms.
• Follow up with prospects to maximise conversion and satisfaction.
• Coordinate with finance, insurance and delivery teams for smooth handover.
• Maintain accurate customer data and activity logs in CRM/DMS systems.
• Achieve monthly and annual sales targets and KPI objectives.
• Participate in OEM training, product launches and certification programmes.

Required profile

• Graduate or Diploma qualification (automotive qualification preferred).
• 1–2 years of experience in a vehicle sales dealership environment.
• Strong understanding of BYD and Mazda sales processes and brand standards.
• Customer‑focused attitude with a commitment to high service quality.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM and DMS systems.
