About the role

frayt.io is seeking a Business Development Manager to join its team in Zambia. You will be responsible for identifying new market opportunities, building strong client relationships, and driving revenue growth for an AI‑powered customs clearance platform.

Key responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the customs, freight forwarding and logistics sectors.
  • Conduct market analysis and competitive research to inform growth strategies.
  • Negotiate and close deals, establishing mutually beneficial partnerships.
  • Collaborate with internal product, operations and support teams to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Maintain a robust pipeline using CRM tools and track performance against targets.

Required profile

  • Proven experience in business development, lead generation and client acquisition.
  • Background in customs clearance, freight forwarding, logistics or related fields.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct market analysis and competitive research.
  • Strong negotiation and deal‑closing skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics or a related discipline; MBA is a plus.

Required skills

  • Proficiency with CRM tools and business analysis software.
  • Excellent communication, networking and relationship‑building abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
