Country Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Country Manager to take full ownership of our multi‑business operation in Zambia’s mining sector. You will be the senior in‑country leader responsible for strategy, operations, financial performance, compliance and people management across all business units.

Key responsibilities

• Own the country P&L, budgets, reporting and audits to ensure financial governance.
• Ensure strict compliance with Zambian regulatory and tax requirements.
• Drive business development by securing new mining clients and expanding supplier partnerships.
• Lead HR functions including recruitment, performance management and workforce development.
• Champion a zero‑harm culture and enforce HSE compliance.
• Oversee fuel management, supply‑chain activities, cargo handling and site logistics.
• Manage capital projects such as fuel labs and weighbridge systems from procurement to commissioning.
• Represent the group in Zambia, managing client and regulatory relationships.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or related field.
• Professional qualification (CA(SA), ACCA or CIMA) is advantageous.
• 8‑10+ years of senior management experience, preferably at country or GM level.
• Minimum 5 years of proven experience in the mining sector.
• Strong background in logistics and supply‑chain management.
• Experience working in cross‑cultural or expatriate environments.
• Exposure to Zambia or Sub‑Saharan Africa is highly advantageous.
