Sky Banker – Retail Sales & Customer Service

About the role

The Sky Banker role focuses on delivering outbound telephone‑based sales and service for Absa’s retail banking portfolio. You will work closely with product teams, branch colleagues and retention officials to cross‑sell accounts, loans, credit cards and other digital banking solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Identify customer needs and promote Absa’s retail products through tele‑cross‑selling.
• Process sales generated by telesales and retention officials, ensuring accurate documentation.
• Participate in product campaigns, explain features and meet sales targets.
• Open new accounts, complete loan financial analysis, and communicate decisions to customers.
• Monitor loan drawdowns, follow up on non‑utilisation and generate welcome packs.
• Maintain compliance with KYC and operational rigour standards for all applications.
• Collaborate with retention officials to receive referrals and close sales.

Required profile

• Proven ability to achieve and exceed sales targets in a call‑center or retail environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling account and loan documentation.
• Good understanding of banking products such as accounts, loans, credit cards and insurance.
• Ability to work independently while building effective relationships with internal teams.
• Commitment to compliance with KYC and regulatory requirements.
