Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – Industrial Minerals Producer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to lead the financial strategy of a growing industrial minerals producer operating across Southern Africa. Reporting to the CEO, the CFO will combine strategic vision with hands‑on operational leadership across finance, human resources, procurement and administration.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the CEO to develop and execute the company’s financial strategy, supporting growth and long‑term value creation.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and Board reporting processes.
• Oversee treasury, cash‑flow, working‑capital and multi‑currency financial operations.
• Drive production costing, margin analysis and capital‑expenditure evaluation.
• Ensure robust financial controls, effective ERP utilisation and compliance with tax, statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Manage risk, governance and cross‑border trade/export compliance.
• Provide leadership for Finance, Human Resources, Procurement and Administration, including payroll and supplier management.

Required profile

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (ZICA, ACCA, CIMA, CA(SA) or equivalent).
• Minimum 10 years of progressive financial leadership experience.
• Background in mining, manufacturing, industrial processing or other asset‑intensive environments.
• Proven experience overseeing Finance together with HR, Procurement and Administration functions.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
