Finance Business Partner

About the role

The Finance Business Partner will provide comprehensive cost accounting services to First Quantum Minerals Zambia Limited and its global services unit. Working closely with management, the role supports effective planning, cost control and strategic decision‑making for the mining operations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage month‑end and year‑end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate cost and financial reporting.
• Prepare general ledger reconciliations, budgets, forecasts and detailed variance analyses.
• Provide insightful financial analysis, highlighting risks, opportunities and cost‑saving initiatives.
• Respond to ad‑hoc financial analysis requests and produce reports for management.
• Utilise data visualisation tools such as Power BI and ERP systems to deliver clear insights.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reporting quality.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Business Studies, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent (validated by ZAQA).
• Minimum of three to five years of mining finance and accounting experience.
• Strong computer literacy, especially Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
