Specialist, Training - Metal Fabrication

About the role

The Specialist, Training – Metal Fabrication will lead the development and delivery of training programs for metal fabrication trainees. You will ensure trainees acquire the necessary competencies through on‑the‑job modules, classroom sessions and virtual instruction, while maintaining a safe and organized workshop environment.

Key responsibilities

• Train and certify Metal Fabrication Trainees, providing on‑the‑job supervision.
• Develop and maintain training aids such as manuals, handbooks, and assessment tools.
• Deliver training using a variety of methods including classroom, virtual, and on‑site coaching.
• Compile training reports, track progress, and provide feedback to management.
• Maintain accurate trainee records and ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards.
• Coordinate off‑site training activities when required.
• Maintain relationships with external training tool suppliers and ensure workshop housekeeping.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade 12 School Certificate.
• Technician Certificate in Metal Fabrication Trade.
• Diploma in Teaching Methodology from a recognised institution.
• Member of EIZTeveta accredited trainer/assessor and ZAQA validated qualifications.
