Assistant Assurance Manager

About the role

The Assistant Assurance Manager provides second‑line assurance for the Risk function within Personal and Private Banking, focusing on Credit Risk, Model Risk and Data Risk. The role ensures compliance with group, country and regulatory policies while supporting the continuous improvement of credit standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform monthly assurance across underwriting, account management, employer management, credit mandate, mobile lending, collections and recoveries.
• Review exceptions from credit models and incorporate them into assurance assessments.
• Monitor the RDARR Embedment tracker, flagging and tracking any issues until resolution.
• Track data and records management risk, highlighting deviations and ensuring closure.
• Maintain and update credit assurance, model and data risk folders on the shared drive.
• Execute monthly PPB Credit Risk Assurance sampling, document findings and maintain an exception tracker.
• Prepare and submit risk event reports to PPB Credit/Lending Committees.
• Ensure the Retail Risk SharePoint site contains up‑to‑date documentation, forms and signatures.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of credit risk, model risk and data risk concepts.
• Attention to detail with the ability to track and resolve issues.
• Good communication skills to liaise with credit, operations and governance teams.
• Ability to work independently and meet monthly assurance deadlines.
