Country Operations Lead – Zambia

About the role

The Country Operations Lead will build and scale AfroQuality’s operations in Zambia, integrating the market into the company’s digital trade infrastructure platform. This role combines retail operations, commercial execution, inventory management, logistics coordination and B2B business development.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver country revenue and commercial growth targets.
• Lead day‑to‑day retail operations and store performance.
• Manage inventory accuracy across physical stores, POS systems and the AfroTrader platform.
• Coordinate artisan onboarding, product catalog management and cross‑border stock movement.
• Ensure seamless integration between physical retail and AfroQuality’s digital trade infrastructure.
• Develop B2B partnerships with retailers and new distribution partners.
• Drive operational discipline, financial performance, reporting and team accountability.
• Oversee logistics, inventory transfers, compliance and store maintenance.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in retail operations, multi‑store management, supply chain, logistics or commerce platforms.
• Strong commercial acumen and understanding of retail unit economics.
• Experience managing inventory systems and operational processes.
• Ability to work at the intersection of retail, technology, trade and distribution.
• Highly organized, execution‑focused and comfortable taking ownership in a fast‑growing environment.
