Electrical Engineer – Solar Energy Projects

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Electrical Engineer with a passion for sustainable energy to design, install, and maintain electrical systems for solar and storage projects. You will work closely with clients, contractors, and project teams to deliver high‑impact renewable energy solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, install, test, and maintain electrical systems for renewable energy projects.
• Supervise solar PV, inverter, battery storage, and power distribution installations.
• Conduct site inspections, system assessments, and technical evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and project specifications.
• Prepare technical reports, drawings, and project documentation.
• Provide technical support during project execution and commissioning.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal project teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience on solar energy projects.
• Registration with the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ) or a comparable professional body.
• Strong communication and problem‑solving abilities.
